Who we are
Calibra Hiring was founded by a group of engineering leaders with a deep interest in hiring, and a strong propensity for applying methodical “systems” thinking to “people problems” (like, figuring out how to get consistent decisions from reviewers).
We have decades of experience building shit ourselves as engineers, leading teams to have an order of magnitude more impact than we could have alone, and building those high-impact teams from the ground up.
We’ve seen the absolute catastrophe that can happen with the wrong hire, and we’ve also seen our product development grind to a halt because all our best engineers are wasting ridiculous amounts of time on reviews (so that we can hire, ostensibly to speed up work).
We’ve also built individual, bespoke solutions to that problem at a number of different companies, and we realized… it was the same process over and over. And it’s a process that, with modern tools, we can automate (and build as a product).
